O St. Joseph, we have recourse to you in our need. We have sought Mary's help. We confidently ask your protection also. By the love which united you to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God, and by the fatherly affection with which you cherished the child Jesus, we pray that you would watch over us whom Jesus purchased by His precious blood, and help us in our needs by your power and strength.
Watchful guardian of the Holy Family, keep us from all error and corruption. Valiant defender, aid us in the conflict with the powers of darkness. As you rescued the child Jesus from danger, so now defend God's Church from all deceit and adversity. Shelter us under your protection. May we follow your example and be strengthened by your help. Let us live a holy life, die a happy death and attain endless joy in heaven. Amen
